Proposed Ordinance 2026-1

The Town of Nokomis will hold a public hearing January 12, 2025 at 5:30 PM at Nokomis Town Hall, 2541 Lake Nokomis Rd, Tomahawk, WI 54487 to receive comments on the proposed Ordinance No. 2026-1. The proposed ordinance establishes requirements for short-term rental licensing and operation of tourist rooming houses within the township limits.

Purpose: To regulate the operation of short-term rental properties (tourist rooming houses) within the township to ensure compliance with health, safety, and zoning regulations.

The Town Hall and offices are located at 2541 Lake Nokomis Road. Hours of the Town Clerk are currently Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:00pm and the second Saturday of the month from 8:00am to 10:00am (excluding holidays). Town Clerk Wendy Smith 715-612-4103 may be contacted if you need assistance.

The Town Board meets the second Monday of every month but is subject to change. Check the calendar for verification. Notice of meetings and agendas are posted at The Tilted Loon, B's Landing, and at the Town Hall.

WEIGHT LIMIT PERMITS: Weight limit permits will not be issued for furniture delivery.
